The picture shows Nigel receiving his 2nd Dan from Soke Eddie Stratton (9th Dan).  Nigel has over 35 years experience in various martail arts.  he started Aikido training in 1989 with the Aikikai before moving to Shudokan Aikido in 1993.  He achieved his Shodan (1st dan Black belt) in 1996 and his Nidan 2nd Dan in 1999.  Nigel completed his 3rd Dan in 2007 and was awarded his 4th Dan by Shihan Gwynne Jones at Bedale on 31st July 2010. 

He spent 23 years in the Royal Air Force Police working throughout the world as well as teaching Self Defence and Arrest and Restraint techiques.  After leaving the forces he became a Performance Coach with a Global company developing teams and individuals to their full potential.

Child Protection Officer

Marsha holds qualifications in Child Protection, Child Care, Learning and Development and First Aid.  She holds an independant position within the Club with the remit to consult the British Aikido Board Child Protection Officer at any time.  Tel: 07971952116
